LESSON TYPES

Private lessons are an excellent option for riders of all levels to fine-tune a particular skill, gain more experience with horses, or get some one-on-one attention from the instructor. Privates are one hour long and can be weekly or as-needed. 

Students in private lessons can groom and tack up prior to the lesson. If the instructor assists in grooming and tacking, that will be part of the lesson time.

Either you're completely new to horseback riding or you don't have a lot of experience yet. Horsemanship will develop safe handling skills both on the ground and in the saddle. You will be required to demonstrate these skills to skip this level if entering our program with prior experience.

Our traditional group lessons are a fantastic option for those who have previous horse experience and are ready to move up to the "next level" of instruction. 

We require our group lesson students to be able to catch their horse, groom, tack, and warm up on their own before the start of the lesson. Group lessons meet weekly for one hour and typically are 3-4 riders.

Tiny Tot private lessons ARE BACK!

The ROYO Package is available from October to April as a set of ten rides. Rides are on your own time, subject to the horse’s schedule, and must be used by the end of April. This package is only available to current lesson students.   ROYO riders can use LEC tack, all of which must fit the horse properly. ROYO riders are not responsible for veterinary or farrier costs. Horses cannot leave LEC property without Tom’s permission.

This package was created for those looking for some additional contact with our well-trained horses. Students can come groom, snuggle, and practice groundwork. This package is only available to current lesson students.
